Blackbeard Festival - Hampton
Thanks a gazillion Susan and Wayne for letting us use the condo and boat this week-end! We MISSED YOU!!! We had tons of fun, cooked-out, tried the best Vanilla Rum and Lime Tequila with some Pirates that were very willing to share, listened to some songs that could get you deported for profanity, took a tour of the Virginia tall ship and listened very attentively to the explanations of a cute student/sailor. Thank you Nate for treating us to lunch! Kathy found her own pirate, who kept posing for 5 minutes after the picture was taken... We saw the coolest birds, yes sorry, birds again... Fantastic time and great weather with only the fireworks missing. Here are some pics. I've got videos too but can't put them here yet.

Yes, thanks so much, Wayne and Susan, for the use of your beautiful condo! We had an awesome time! Partying with the pirates Saturday night was a blast! I've never seen so much rum in one place before being passed round and round. You'll have to hear the stories of Frank's experience with Scarlet Jane, the fiesty pirate wench they call the "Black Widow," and your sister encouraging the young pirate men to sing vulgar sea chanties (sp?)! We laughed so hard! Thanks again! It's so sweet of you to share your awesome place!
Hey.... I told them to take it UP a notch, they were getting so low! They were funny, but raunchy. Pirates: what can you do w/ them!!!

Frankie found your tequila on the boat, Wayne, and we were having shots Sat. night waiting for the fireworks - which NEVER HAPPENED. We owe you, Bro.
I saw on the Festival website that they cancelled the fireworks due to high winds, FYI.
Yes, Thanks a ton Susan and Wayne! We had a blasty-blast! I have never seen so much Rum and cleavage(ie. "tittyballs") in my life! AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH! Can't wait to get down to Florida the 27th! I will miss Hudson opening up for Seldom Scene but she is going to get someone to video tape for me!
We are glad you guys had a good time. Can't believe you let Zeke sleep in the house - He snores so loud no one can sleep! Looking forward to your visit Nate - Frank, glad you found the tequila -it always helps a party get going. Fireworks, we don't need no stinking fireworks - we've got Tres Generaciones
Well, Wayne, since you mention it... Yeah Zeke snores so loud the walls were trembling... I had to trade the snoring for the ac humming and took my sleeping bag to the patio!!! LOL
Awww, I'm sorry there weren't any fireworks, they do such a good show. Been thinking I wanted to come up for one if we could, like Bay Days, but since we'll have just been to the Blast From the Past, probably not. Anyway, I'm sure you made fireworks of your own and I'm really glad you all had so much fun! Yummy, thin mints, can't wait...you got the low-cal ones, right?? ; )
Can't wait for Nate's visit...doesn't anyone else want to jump in the truck with him???

Susan, I also left Coffee and Butter Peacan ice cream in the freezer... I know Wayne can't eat it but if you can't either give it away to Kate and Mike :)
