What a beautifuld day we had on the Shenandoah. Plenty of Sunshine and plenty to explore. We were fortune enough to hit the peak fall colors. Brilliant leaf colors and hawks in large numbers flying down the ridges of the mountain.
After we visited with my son at JMU, we went on the parkway off of 33 and up to Big Medows on a 1.4 mile trail to the Dark Hollow Falls. Then another Trail 2.4 miles to Whiteoak Canyon Falls.
What a day! Hope you enjoy the Pics.
Can't wait to hang out with you guys again at Millpond.
Miss you all,
Luv,
Luz

Beautiful, Luz. What a beautiful day Sunday was!!! I love the shot of you on that crooked tree over the water.
Hey, FOJ: Luz is the proud owner a kayak!!! You go, Girl!
Yep I sure am! Thanks Carolyn.
Got me a beautiful, yellow wilderness tarpon 100 at the ARC in Farmsville. great people to do business with.Thank you Nathan for your expert advice. It was my favorite one.Now i am definitely ready to explore whatever FOJ want to bring my way.
Beautiful pics Luz!!! My favorite is of course the one with the deer :) they are SO CUTE!!!
Congrats on the yak! You are OFFICIALLY an FOJ!!! now, you know what it means... you no longer have a valid excuse not to show up to water related events... The weather condition one is already taken and the school one too... ;)
I am glad to see that SOMEONE is having an outdoor adventure! Luz, I have a Tarpon too! I love that thing! Nathan, Vickie, where are your posts?
Okay, Kathy Rice and Vickie, this is a challenge. I am planning on going and toughing out the elements whatever they may be at Merchant's Mill. I have that darn Raynaud's disease...Who will join me rain or shine? Adam and Carroll will keep me warm and fed and well just happy! unless there is a fire ban, in which case I am home in my snuggly house.
Regina
Sorry Regina, I have been crazy busy at work the past few weeks and trying to get through my exams (one due tonight yikessssss) and finals (due in 2 weeks) for class so I can go to Merchant. I didn't have time to post the pics from Esther's b-day but since I'm heading to Nathan's early Sat. I may be able to post some pics from the mountains after this week-end ;)
Thanks gals. glad you enjoyed the pictures.Yeah, no excuses on the trip to Merchant's Mill. I plan to
consecrate it there.Good luck on your exams Vic.
Yeh I luv the one of the deer... They taste great!!! Luz, great pics. glad you all had fun and congrats on your Tarpon!! I totally see you in that boat! Wayne will have a problem though cause you stole his "yellow" theme! I'm glad the boys at ARC took good care of you! I luv that place and what great deals. I think once Vickie gets tired of draining her boat of water she'll jump on board and get a sit on top too they rule! Glad u r going to the Dismal! Veronique and I are hitting Humpback mountain this weekend to check out the leaves on BOTH sides of the Blueridge then going for some dinner on the ped mall in C-ville! I'll post plenty of pics of her for everyone to see!!:) Oh get Regina to get Carroll to cut you out some scupper plugs for your drain holes in your new boat! Carroll cuts them out of high density foam and they keep the "cold" water from creeping up in your boat during flatwater adventures! --A MUST!
Natey, deer are too cute to be eaten... and I DO want to get a sit-on-top... I've never been to the ARC store though so maybe you'll take me there in the spring so I can shop around :)
Thanks Regina for the info!
Luz, Carroll is on to plug up your sit on top. We can get together before you leave if you go on Friday, but if you head out on Sat, we might catch up with you and plug your boat then!
Let us know.
Tarpons Rock!!!
