Fun time last weekend checking out the music of our younger Friends Of Jay. Friday night Race The Sun, which includes Chris Brown, (Carly's) Jason Sower, and our favorite Scotsman, James Henderson, performed their first reunion show at Alley Katz. Place was packed, about 200 degrees fahrenheit, and the excitement level was off the charts! Jim's ears stopped ringing by Sunday when we went to hear Derek Rice's band, We Are Bears, play at the Canal Club (air conditioned...yessss!!!) It is so great to be included in these young folks' lives. My picture-taking leaves a lot to be desired and our camera is now behind the technological curve but you will get the taste....

Thanks, Carolyn, for getting a couple of pretty good pics of Derek! Mine just didn't turn out good; he just wouldn't stand still for me! LOL It was a fun time, and I'm so proud of our young people.

If you look closely you'll notice Derek is wearing a John Exley designed T-shirt City creation...the circle just continues. How cool!
