I went hiking In Lex-Vegas this weekend with Killian and stumbled upon some May apples and cancer root right below some poplar trees when I realized... That means wild Morel mushrooms!!! I found a handful of Morel mushrooms before calling in mom and dad on the cell with baskets and water for a two hour shroom hunt. We found about 40 Morel mushrooms. We are getting ready to sit down to a wild Morel, wine, cream sauce on wild Alaskan salmon with pasta and salad! These little moments make life so grand!! Tried to call Mary Beth for recipes but had to Google! Hope Everyone is well!

Jeez! That's a little fortune in mushrooms! What a treat! Well I only grilled a bit tonight... I got tired of soup and frozen dinners and needed a break from the books too.
Can you actually freeze those?
Nathan, you keep amazing me! Thanks for sharing this! Sounds like a good time with a delicious meal at the end. I've never been fond of mushrooms, as the ones I have had taste like dirt to me, but your recipe sounds tasty to me. I'd like to place an order for some of those mushrooms, complete with the cream sauce on salmon and wine, please!
Damn! I missed it! If only it had been last weekend. Didn't some grow in the side yard there one year? Hope it wsa TASTY. Miss you!
How about sharing the recipe? It sounds too good... I want to try it!
Wow Nathan, what a haul! I found some the other day in Richmond - Jay's first morel taste. We cooked em up for breakfast sauteed in garlic and butter with some grits on the side, yuuuuummmmm. Morel hunting is one of my favorite spring pastimes. Glad to share in your excitement.
