Broad Appetit!

This event was a hit...and on a rainy day!!! The paper said food vendors were told to prepare for 500 people, but over 5,000 attended. That's why the Berkley ran out of those great smelling crab cakes! It was such a success, It's already been scheduled to happen again next year.

Here are some pics of me & Jim & Luz at the bug cookoff. Cricket bread anyone?

We didn't eat that roach. But Carolyn kept the head.
She is going to mount it on her wall as a souvenir.

It is not a roach, it is an exotic waterbug. Maybe its head will make an appearance at an upcoming FOJ event. It will be much easier to disguise than Mr. Zuchini.

That will keep people awake for sure!
