Race for the Cure

Kelly and I walked today in honor of our good friend Helga, who is a breast cancer survivor. She was put on hospice in February for lung cancer, and thanks to her miracle.... she has been living by herself down at the beach for four weeks!! If that is not a miracle, I don't know what is! Kathy, we looked for you but because of the huge turn out, there was no way!!

We are well and just really busy. Adam is home for 48 hours before he heads to NC/GA border for three months for an internship.

This is my second year of walking in the Susan Komen Race for the Cure, and this year my office team, the Bon Air Title Team, raised $1,005.00, which is awesome! I looked for you too, Regina, but with the huge crowd, I had enough trouble keeping up with just my team. The weather was perfect this year; a very rewarding experience! Thank you to those who supported our team and this great cause!

That is so great that you all did this!! I am at home celebrating Mother's Day weekend with mom. My mother is a breast cancer survivor and I know how it affects so many. Thanks for all of your contributions! I installed two rain barrels and cleaned two fish ponds for Mother's day! I am so lucky to still have such a wonderful mother and I am very thankfull! Hope to see you all soon!

It's great to hear that many survive it these days and it's great news Regina that your friend is back home. If she needs anything, I'm close enough, I can swing by any time to give her a hand. My best friend is also a cancer survivor, not the same type, but which ever cancer, it's the same battle. She was diagnosed with stage 4 of Hodgkins at age 31. I am thankful that she's still around, she's a second sister to me and I consider her 2 wonderful kids my niece and nephew. As for mother's day, even though it's not before the 25th in France, I called mom today to wish her the American one too! Twice is even better than once!
