Everyone, don't forget the Blackbeard Festival in Hampton the following week-end (May 31st - June 1st).
I'll post a poll soon to find out when you guys want to come down for the Beach Week-end. I spoke with a co-worker this afternoon who told me about a cool spot at the border of VA & NC. I will go and check it out before hand and that may be a cool day trip, either during the Beach week-end or later in the summer.
Nate mentioned there'll be a Lex Vegas Float this year. Start sending me your dates if you have an event in mind and know the dates so I can get those in too and avoid overlaps. I'll also check for Hampton Bay Days and other festivals and events we have here.

Tenative date for the Lex-Vegas "Tubing under the influence" tour will be arrival Friday night June 13th and Tube day Sat. 14th. I need to check accomodations and plans with my folks before nailing it down. Might be the following weekend? But I will definitely let folks now! Mark your calendars! (Kathy think of some excuses!)
Lex-Vegas dates sound good, Nathan. We need to purchase some tubes, folks. Nathan, Hudson where did you say you got those last year?
I'll check w/ Wayne & Susan and hopefully we can have a gypsy camp in the Hampton condo for Blackbeard Festival.
Another date, Vickie and crew: Rusty Hammer's book signing party at Pam's April 5th at 6:00 p.m. Even if you don't know Rusty, we are all invited.

FYI, we got our tubes at Dick's for $20-$25 each. However, we've accumulated a few now, and Jeni and I have 6 already (4 extra), and Nate, and Mom and Dad have some extra too. Some may need to buy a couple...I think Wal-Mart/K-Mart also sells them.
OH!!! Don't forget FloydFest! July 25th & 26th, possibly setting up camp on the 24th.

Oh yeah, what's the deal for Memorial Day? Are we doing the James/Hardware Rivers near us again? That'd be great--we've got some new, fun sections we've explored that would be fun to try--of course we'd never abandon our camping at the fab Turd Point! I'm playing fiddle with Tigerlily for the VA Women's Music Festival sometime that weekend, so I may have to catch up with y'all, but we'll work it out if that's what folks want to do.
I don't want to "hog" Memorial Day, though, so if folks want to do something different, let us know.
Hudson, where is the VA Women's Musical Festival going to be? And when will you be playing? The Tigerlily gals were awesome at your place last year!
Kathy, I'm not sure which day on Memorial Day weekend the concert is, but I'm going to find out. I believe the festival is in Ferncliff (Louisa Co.?)...
